Print out these packing lists and if your children are old enough, give them a copy and have them lay out their clothes for the trip. This will reduce the burden on you and teach them a little lesson in independence. As they get older, you can rely on them to actually pack their own suitcases – as long as they have everything that is listed.

Additional lists for specific types of trips are also included – beach, camping, skiing.
