Teenagers love to hang out together. By providing them with refreshments and entertainment, they are usually happy for hours. Here's a TO DO list to help make your house THE house to be at!!



 

20 or fewer teens:

  • Written invitations, phone calls, or facebook
  • Sodas (2/teen) - refrigerate
  • Waters (2/teen) - refrigerate
  • Snacks: chips, pretzels (1 bag/4 teens)
  • Chocolate/candy: bowl of mini-size packages
  • Carrots with ranch dressing
  • Grapes/strawberries/other fruit
  • Ice cream/brownies/cookies
  • Large serving bowls
  • Paper plates
  • Paper napkins
  • Pizza (order in; one pizza/3 boys, one pizza/4 girls)
  • Music player
  • Game tables (folding tables)
  • Games, cards, dice
  • Appropriate movies (www.netflix.com)
  • Garbage bags
  • Paper towels

Note: remember to check-in on party at random times

 

 

Dance Party

  • Reduce food requirements – only salty snacks are really needed
  • Increase number of water bottles available
    • use small water bottles
    • or serve water out of large thermal self-dispenser
  • Serve soda in 2 liter bottles; pour in small cups
    • helps reduce waste
    • adult can be in charge of pouring
    • estimate 12 2 liter bottles for every 100 teens
  • Research for good DJ in your area
  • Have 1 adult chaperone per 20-25 kids
    • have chaperones near each exit and near bathrooms
    • hire a policeman to help with parking and/or dropping off/picking up
