Luckily there are thousands of great books for our children to read. However, sometimes one is overwhelmed in the bookstore and choosing a title for one’s child or as a gift can be daunting. This list specifically targets great books that should not be overlooked; many were written decades ago but are still in print and some just did not get the press they deserved! Please note that popular stories have not been included for the very reason that most readers already know about them (e.g. Harry Potter series).
